I was born in Roanoke, VA, and grew up in Chesterfield County near Richmond. True stories, which depict my life vividly and uncompromisingly, are my passion: notably the memoirs CHILDHOOD and MOSSBACKDRAGON. I am currently completing my third memoir, THE ROYAL ROAD TO THEBES.
